The Patch Management Team is a collaborative group focused on maintaining endpoint patching and security compliance across the enterprise. The team works closely with IT operations, cyber security, and support teams to ensure timely patch deployment and remediation of vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patch compliance across all managed client endpoints (Windows/MacOS).
  • Perform troubleshooting of patching related issues and vulnerability remediation.
  • Support and troubleshoot BigFix client management and associated deployment issues.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to plan, test, and implement patches effectively.
  • Leverage PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Provide remote support to end users for patching and endpoint-related issues.
  • Work with security tools such as Qualys to validate, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communication with end users.
  • Handle critical patching activities under high-pressure situations.
  • Follow ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management related to patching.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer

Preferred Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in endpoint patching and compliance.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 & Windows 11 Operating Systems to troubleshoot technical issues.
    • Strong exposure of MECM/SCCM and BigFix deployments, and reporting.
    • Strong hands-on experience with BigFix and MECM client management and end-client patching related issues.
    • Exposure to security tools such as Qualys for vulnerability detection and remediation.
    • Familiarity with patching and vulnerability remediation best practices.
    • Working knowledge of remote support tools (like Logmein / BeyondTrust etc.).
    • Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
    • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
    • Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management).
    • Hand-on exposure on office tools (like Excel, Word, Power-point etc.)
Nice-to-have's

  • Knowledge of MacOS Operating Systems to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Experience in working enterprise-scale environments with large user bases.
  • Good Understanding of IT standards related to patching and vulnerabilities.
  • Exposure to other endpoint management or security tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the banking or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise applications specific to the banking industry.
  • Knowledge of issue tracking and reporting tools like Jira, or Confluence.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical person.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, with a "can-do" attitude and comfortable working with minimum instructions.
  • Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset.
