DevOps Engineer in ESTONIA

Remote 4 months ago

StakeWise is one of the leading liquid staking protocols on Ethereum and Gnosis Chain. With close to $1 billion worth of ETH staked and 50,000+ users, we're a highly skilled team driving innovation in the space - even going as far as identifying critical issues in competing protocols (https://medium.com/immunefi/rocketpool-lido-frontrunning-bug-fix-postmortem-e701f26d7971).

We are extremely passionate about building StakeWise and want to grow our team with equally dedicated members. By joining StakeWise, you will play an integral role and have a direct impact on the project's success - leading our efforts from design to execution. A challenging yet rewarding journey lies ahead, and now is a great time to join us.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with Python development skills to help build and maintain our core staking product. This is a fully remote role, yet local applicants are welcome to use the office.

Your primary responsibility will be to deploy and manage staking nodes across multiple networks, implement and integrate new solutions for redundancy and security, and oversee the deployment and operation of our backend applications running in Kubernetes.

When there are no active DevOps tasks, you will contribute to backend service development that integrates with smart contracts and supports protocol security and monitoring. You’ll also build software used by node operators, home stakers, and institutional partners to power staking solutions.

Our stack

Infrastructure: Bare metal servers, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm charts, Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana

Backend: Python, FastAPI, GraphQL, Celery, aiohttp

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps
  • Strong experience deploying and managing infrastructure on both cloud platforms and bare metal
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes, including Helm charts, and Docker
  • Solid understanding of monitoring and observability tools
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with backend frameworks such as FastAPI
  • Familiarity with blockchain technologies and running staking nodes is a strong plus
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code and collaborate effectively in a lean, fast-paced team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward improving system reliability and performance

What we offer:

  • Very competitive salary paid either in crypto or EUR/USD
  • Native $SWISE token allocation
  • Possibility for remote working experience, with paid travel with the team to key events
  • Autonomy and ownership of important features that will go live and secure billions of dollars of assets
