Additionally, we actively engage in international collaboration with teams in Gdańsk, Hamburg, and Chennai using global insights to improve our applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack (Front-/Backend) (JEE) applications in Java.
- Test, debug, and document (your) code, solutions, and applications.
- Covering, together with your colleagues, the full software development life cycle (analysis, design, testing, roll-out, maintenance, operation, 3rd level support).
- Analyze existing applications, solutions, business processes, and requirements in close cooperation with internal stakeholders as well as external partners.
- Extend and transform existing applications from the current technology stack and infrastructure (on-prem) to the new state-of-the-art Cloud platform.
- Operating existing (on-prem) infrastructure (Payara Application Servers and Standalone Java applications).
- Work directly with colleagues from all Hapag-Lloyd IT locations (some traveling expected)
Qualifications
- BSc/MSc in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar position (e.g., Full stack Developer).
- Very good Java skills (including knowledge of JSF, JPA, EJB, CDI, JAX-RS).
- JEE Full-stack development of web applications.
- Basic SQL, UNIX, Maven, and Git skills.
- Experience with gathering and detailing requirements, as well as software design and modeling tools (e.g., UML).
- Understanding of software development processes, flexibility, and a high level of customer orientation.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English, along with very good communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience in agile software development (e.g. Scrum)
- Experiences in AWS Cloud-based services (OpenSearch, EC2, Neptune, ECS)
- Working experience or knowledge of international logistics context.
- Polish language is welcome
