About the Role

We're seeking an experienced IT Network & Security Engineer with a strong background in MSP environments. This role is critical in managing and securing client infrastructure, designing robust network solutions, and providing expert-level support. The ideal candidate is highly technical, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple clients and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support secure network infrastructures across multiple client environments
• Manage and implement Fortinet and Sophos firewalls, UTM, endpoint, and security solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, outages, and security incidents
• Implement network security best practices, including segmentation, access control, and threat detection
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients; communicate complex technical issues clearly and confidently
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve escalated issues
• Participate in audits, compliance efforts, and documentation processes
• Stay up to date with industry trends, threats, and best practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate) and Sophos security solutions
• Expertise in network design, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching
• Solid knowledge of network and security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPSec, SSL, etc.)
• Experience with remote monitoring and management tools (RMM)
• Relevant certifications (Fortinet NSE, Sophos Certified Engineer, CCNA/Security+, etc.) preferred
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and client-facing communication
