Senior Test Automation Engineer

Note: Cypress experience is a must-have. We are looking for someone who can contribute immediately without ramp-up time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Cypress subject matter expert and lead automation efforts using BDD frameworks
• Build, execute, and maintain automated test suites for client-server, web applications, and web services
• Design detailed test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications
• Evaluate test requirements and determine appropriate coverage through automation
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure high-quality solutions
• Maintain clear documentation for automation architecture, test scripts, and modifications
• Identify areas for automation and process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
• Incorporate security considerations into daily responsibilities
• Support Agile development cycles and contribute to team discussions and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress in a professional setting
• 3+ years of experience in building and executing automated test suites
• Proficient in testing client-server/web applications and APIs using modern automation tools
• Strong understanding of BDD frameworks (Cypress, Lighthouse, etc.)
• Experience creating and implementing SQL for validation and automation
• Skilled in using source control tools such as Git or Bitbucket and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Familiarity with both scripted and recording automation tools
• Solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
• Proven track record of thriving in fast-paced, changing environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Zephyr, Confluence)
• 3+ years of experience in Java, JavaScript
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Node.js, Angular
