⚙️ DevOps Engineer – Infrastructure Automation & Hybrid Cloud (Full-Time, Remote)
Launchpad is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us automate, scale, and secure infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. You’ll play a key role in building CI/CD pipelines, enabling self-service tooling, and improving system reliability—while working with a cutting-edge stack that includes Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Cisco UCS.

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and automate infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and Git
- Develop CI/CD workflows that support rapid, reliable releases
- Automate repetitive tasks and enable self-healing infrastructure using Python (must), plus Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions with tools like Nagios, Datadog, Grafana, and Splunk
- Support and scale hybrid environments across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure
- Manage and configure systems using Cisco UCS, Cisco Intersight, and virtualization platforms like VMware
- Administer Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu), Windows, and Mac OS environments, including automated patching and updates
- Evaluate and integrate new tools to enhance scalability and ease of operations
- Participate in on-call rotation to support production environments and incident response
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal DevOps best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build resilient, scalable systems
✅ What You Need to Succeed
Must-haves
- 6+ years of experience in scripting and automation, with strong command of Python
- 3+ years working with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Vault
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef
- Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals and security best practices
- Expertise with observability and alerting tools: Nagios, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Cisco UCS and Cisco Intersight
- Familiarity with storage platforms like Pure Storage
- Knowledge of IAM and authentication protocols: Okta, AD, SSO, OAuth, SAML
- Experience building logging pipelines and generating dashboards
- Windows Server and Mac OS administration background
- Understanding of cloud security governance and compliance frameworks
