We’re looking for a talented junior full-stack web developer to help build an innovative digital educational platform focused on creative writing. The platform includes an LMS with gamification, automations, and AI tools.
We’re looking for someone with a solid base in Laravel and PHP, capable of building functional back-end solutions, and with hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to contribute to the front-end. We highly value the willingness to learn and grow in both areas of web development.
What we’re looking for:
- At least 1 year since completing your technical or university studies.
- Must-have: demonstrable experience and strong skills in PHP and the Laravel framework.
- Solid experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with an interest in further developing these skills.
- Ability to solve problems independently and follow detailed instructions.
- Real-world projects or previous internships in both back-end and front-end will be highly valued.
- A positive attitude, commitment, and a focus on high-quality work.
Position details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day. Start time between 9:00–10:00 AM (Bangladesh local time, if applicable).
- Location: 100% remote.
- Salary: 290 USD/month.
- Salary review after 6 months based on performance.
- Minimum contract duration: 6 months, with potential for extension.
- Full-time applicants only. We are not accepting part-time freelancers.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in both back-end (Laravel/PHP) and front-end development of the educational platform.
- Integrate forms, mailing services, and LMS modules, working on both server-side logic and visual presentation.
- Collaborate on building the PWA using Laravel Livewire or Blade, implementing both back-end logic and front-end structure and style.
- Debug issues and maintain clean, well-organized code across both sides of the application.
- Learn and implement tools such as Firebase, OpenAI, and especially DigitalOcean.
Technical requirements:
- Must-have: strong knowledge of Laravel and PHP, including a solid understanding of MVC architecture and best development practices.
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a desire to keep learning and applying new front-end techniques.
- Familiarity with databases and how they interact with Laravel.
- Ability to work with APIs (REST).
Additional valued skills:
- Experience with Laravel Livewire or Blade.
- Experience in educational or gamified platforms.
- Experience with Firebase, Doppler, or similar services.
- Knowledge and experience with DigitalOcean.
- Interest or basic knowledge in artificial intelligence and process automation.
Academic requirements:
- You must present your technical or university degree (enrollment proof, diploma, etc.) at the start of the contract.
Important note on language:
- Must-have: intermediate English level (B1/B2), both spoken and written. You’ll be part of an international team and must be able to communicate effectively in English for tasks and collaboration. A higher level will be considered a plus.
