In more recent years, we have been scaling fast, in big part thanks to the success of a little game called Lily’s Garden. Now we’re on a mission to solidify our position as one of the leaders in creating out-of-the-ordinary casual puzzle games.

🚀 Your role & impact

We are currently growing our Core Data Team and are in the search for a Data Architect to join the team of talented engineers supporting our entire data operations. The Data team at Tactile is responsible for building our internal data platform, including all of the internal tools and services, which are used by game and marketing teams to manage, improve and speed-up their daily operations.

The impact you’ll have on the team’s success is that you’ll be taking the ownership of improving our data platform throughout the company, focusing on both performance and scalability. You will be acting as the link between the team building the shared platform (our Core backend engineers) and the teams using it.

We want to emphasize that in this role you will not be responsible for building data pipelines. Your focus will be on designing and building our data structures, in order to serve our data platform’s users better. This role is based on-site in our beautiful Copenhagen office, as we truly believe that when talented people work closely together, amazing things happen!

Okay, let’s get a little bit more specific.

Here’s what you’ll be doing on the day-to-day as a Data Architect within our Core Team:

• Taking part in defining our company-wide vision and direction for the future of our data platform, together with our Head of Data and other Data Architect
• Defining and rolling out an improved way for us to do game analytics and dashboarding as a company
• Architecting the improved shared data platform in collaboration with our game and marketing teams
• Designing data structures within our data platform to serve the end-users better
• Acting as the vital link between the stakeholders of data and our data infrastructure, always building up on your knowledge of our business and its needs
• Creating prototypes and POCs for the backend engineers and being the knowledge-focal point for all things data

What we’re looking for:

• You’re an SQL expert
• You have years of experience in building and architecting data structures in performant environments (with big amounts of data, focused on efficiency and good practices)
• You have big data experience and have worked extensively with one of the big data databases (we use BigQuery here, but it’s also relevant if you worked with Redshift, SQL server or Snowflake)
• You’re a problem-solver with a service-oriented mindset
• You like to get into the nitty-gritty details of building complex systems
• You’re proactive, open-minded and a great communicator

You'll make us extra excited if you also have:

• Programming skills - we build our infrastructure using TypeScript/Node.js, but if you’ve worked with other scripting languages, that’s also great!
• Previous experience in the gaming industry
