Job Title: Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Location: Glasgow, UK (On-site)
Experience Level: Mid to Senior (4–10 years)
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
About Us:
At Neuranics, we are building the world’s first quantum sensing-enabled System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions for next-generation biomedical, wearable, and edge AI applications. Our growing team combines deep expertise in analog/mixed-signal design, quantum physics, and system architecture to solve real-world sensing challenges at scale.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer with 4–10 years of industry experience and a strong background in delta-sigma ADCs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the complete chip development cycle and a track record of successful tapeouts. You will play a key role in designing and integrating precision analog and mixed-signal IPs into our custom SoCs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, simulation, and layout supervision of analog/mixed-signal circuits such as delta-sigma ADCs, bandgap references, amplifiers, and LDOs.
Architect and implement high-performance data converters and analog front-ends for sensor applications.
Drive block-level and top-level verification, behavioral modeling (Verilog-A/AMS), and corner analysis.
Collaborate closely with layout, digital, system, and verification teams throughout the design cycle.
Support silicon validation, debug, and post-silicon bring-up in lab environments.
Contribute to documentation, reviews, and cross-functional design decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
BSc/MSc/PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
4–10 years of hands-on experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design.
Proven involvement in multiple silicon tapeouts (at least one as lead designer).
Strong expertise in delta-sigma ADC architectures and behavioral/system-level modeling.
Proficient in using tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, MATLAB, and AMS simulators.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with low-power design techniques and sensor interfaces.
Familiarity with high-voltage or low-noise analog design is a plus.
Knowledge of layout best practices and layout-dependent effects.
Ability to write clear technical documentation and design reviews.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Why Join Us?
Work on cutting-edge technology with real-world impact.
Join a close-knit, collaborative, and multidisciplinary team.
Be part of a startup environment with rapid growth and technical ownership.
Competitive salary and equity options.
VISA and relocation support will be provided for the right candidate.
