Your Challenge
As a Development Engineer, you'll play a key role in the development of machines that will allow us to tap into an entirely new market segment. You’ll be part of our Product Development team, where you’ll be responsible for creating the very first prototypes and guiding them through continuous improvement and optimization.
From our headquarters, you’ll collaborate closely with fellow engineers and colleagues from other departments to bring innovative, customer-specific solutions to life. Your work will be instrumental in setting the technological direction of our company and shaping our position in this new market.
You’ll analyze market demands and customer needs, translate them into creative designs, and oversee the realization and implementation of the initial machines. From there, you'll lead the charge in fine-tuning and enhancing the technology, ensuring it evolves to meet the challenges of this emerging segment.
What You Bring
• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field;
• Several years of experience in machine building and/or product development;
• A creative and analytical mindset with a passion for innovation;
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude;
• The ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team;
• Proficiency in Dutch/Afrikaans and English.

Who is Xelvin?

Onboarding & benefits
By your first payment you will receive € 3000,00 net relocation allowance.
For your 1st accommodation in the Netherlands you get support by the Xelvin with the help of our Housing Consultant.
In case of having to pay the 1st months’ rent or potential deposit, Xelvin is willing to pay it for you upfront, after which we’ll set up a loan agreement, for you to pay us back over the duration that you work for us.
Xelvin is certified to do VISA applications for you and your family, and get your work permit in order so you can travel and start working.
A relocation assistance allowance will be paid to you, to cover the cost of relocating to the Netherlands.
You (and your family) will be picked up at the airport or train station by your consultant/recruiter after your arrival, and will be taken to your accommodation.
Onboarding: we’ll advise you on how to set up a Dutch bank account, apply for health insurance, getting a Dutch BSN number, writing in with a dentist and general practitioner and other useful or necessary cases to arrange.
A presentation organized for all newly recruited engineers & technicians to make them aware of our Dutch tax system, 30% ruling and explaining the Dutch payslip.
A few social gatherings with all Xelvin employees and recruited engineers & technicians per year;
New Year's drink, beverages and bites are served.
