Our Client in the Technology sector is looking for Data Scientist with knowledge and experience in position tracking technology.
Rate: Market Related for Intermediate to Senior Data Scientists
Location : Hybrid - Cape Town
Terms: Permanent Employment
If you are from Johannesburg or any other place in South Africa and you would like to relocate to Cape Town, relocation cost will be at your own expense.

Required skills / experience
BEng/BSc or higher, in Electronic Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science;
Clear understanding of basic signal processing concepts, such as filtering, Nyquist frequencies andtime-frequency transformations;
Appreciation of algorithm performance evaluation techniques, eg receiver-operating-curves;
Experience with machine learning algorithms such as regressions, decision trees, SVMs and Neural Networks;
Well-versed in using mathematical software for data extraction and simulation of algorithm performance (such as Python, MATLAB, Octave or R);
Responsibilities
Design, develop and evaluate the performance of signal processing algorithms to provide valuable insights to the team.
Develop and maintain documentation of the data science architecture and algorithms developed within the team.
Developing algorithms independently under the guidance and supervision of senior team members.
Work closely with the team to define & collect sensor data with adequate performance reference for algorithm development.
Develop machine learning algorithms to provide predictive insights.
