What is the job about?

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and help businesses unlock the power of their energy data. You’ll be developing and deploying forecasting, pattern recognition, and anomaly detection models that enable our clients to reduce their carbon emissions. From exploring complex time series datasets to deploying production-ready models in our software platforms, you’ll be involved in the entire data science lifecycle.

What exactly will you do?

• Forecast noisy and incomplete time series data to generate actionable insights.
• Predict data patterns and make tailored recommendations to reduce carbon usage.
• Research and develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
• Translate energy data into meaningful business insights and smarter decision-making.
• Analyse and interpret trends from diverse datasets.
• Work closely with developers and engineers to deploy scalable ML solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and continuously improve deployed solutions.
• Mentor and support junior data scientists to grow the team’s capabilities.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• Experience in data architecture, data mining, and producing high-quality data outputs.
• Hands-on experience with R, Python, SQL, and working with various data sources.
• Strong knowledge of statistical techniques like regression, hypothesis testing, and correlation analysis.
• Experience interpreting third-party data, such as Google Analytics and campaign management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a product-oriented mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.

Desirable:

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines.
• Previous experience in the Energy industry.
