Hello!


We are looking for a skilled and motivated programmer to join our team at Vertpaint Games. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles and experience working with C++ and Unreal Engine. You will be responsible for writing efficient, readable code while collaborating with other disciplines to develop and refine core game systems.


//Role Summary:


Role: Gameplay Programmer (Mid / Sr / Lead / Principal)

Salary / Title: Subject to level of experience per candidate

Location: Fully Remote, must be available during core hours each day 10am - 3pm GMT (UK)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain gameplay code using C++ and Unreal Engine.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve shared goals.
  • Self-manage tasks and time efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Ritual Tides: Set at the end of the 19th century, our protagonist explores a remote and highly authentic British island. Encountering Monsters, Cultists & disturbed Denizens. We need your help and passion to bring this project to life!

//Desired Skills & Experience:


Must Have:

  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine development.
  • Ability to write efficient and readable code.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with source control systems.


Nice to Have:

  • 1+ years of experience working as a programmer in the games industry.
  • Familiarity with Blueprint programming in Unreal Engine.
  • Experience in designing and implementing core game systems.
  • Knowledge of other Unreal Engine pipelines, e.g. Animation, Game Design, UI, or Audio.
  • Experience with Perforce for source control.
