About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our Security team. You’ll work closely with our development and engineering teams to embed secure development practices and improve our overall security posture. Your mission is to drive security awareness and provide guidance across teams while building security automation and tooling.


What You'll Do

In your first month:

  • Get to know our systems, architecture and security landscape.
  • Join planning and follow-up meetings across departments.
  • Understand our security processes, tools, and development workflows.

After 3 months:

  • Collaborate with developers to promote security best practices.
  • Analyze and triage findings from SAST and DAST tools.
  • Start contributing to CI/CD security automation.
  • Support the selection and implementation of new security tools.

After 6 months:

  • Lead initiatives to improve the secure SDLC (SSDLC) across teams.
  • Perform threat modeling and define change management requirements.
  • Take ownership of security automation and SSDLC practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of SSDLC practices across the company.
  • Maintain and improve vulnerability detection tooling.
  • Automate security checks in CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Guide engineering teams on resolving security issues and improving code quality.
  • Conduct security reviews, design assessments, and code analysis.
  • Develop internal security tools and documentation.
  • Stay updated on emerging security trends.
  • Support internal security education initiatives.


About You

Must Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development or security engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of secure development practices and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with microservices, APIs, and security testing tools.
  • Proficient in programming languages (Python, JavaScript, etc).
  • Familiarity with OWASP, NIST or similar standards.
  • Solid communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, InfoSec, or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with penetration testing or bug bounty programs.
  • Contributions to open-source security projects.
