What is the job about?


We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to manage and expand our online presence across multiple platforms. This role involves developing and implementing social media strategies, creating engaging content, analysing performance metrics, and executing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and audience engagement. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency and optimise social media efforts in alignment with business objectives.


What exactly will you do?


  • Develop and execute social media strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Create, curate, and publish engaging content across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Monitor social media trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to refine strategies.
  • Engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and fostering meaningful interactions.
  • Plan and manage paid social media campaigns to enhance brand visibility and drive conversions.
  • Track, analyse, and report on performance metrics using analytics tools to optimise engagement and reach.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to ensure brand consistency.
  • Stay informed about emerging platforms, tools, and best practices to keep strategies innovative and effective.
  • Focus on engaging employees, strengthening the employer brand, and enhancing customer interactions.


What we're looking for


Essential:

  • Previous experience as a Social Media Specialist, Social Media Manager, or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Hands-on experience in managing paid social media campaigns (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.).
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics) to track performance and optimise campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of social media optimisation strategies to maximise engagement and reach.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills for engaging and impactful content.
  • Experience in crisis management and online reputation monitoring.
  • Strong project and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to evolving social media trends, platform updates, and audience preferences.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data-driven insights.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for digital marketing and audience engagement.

Desirable:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing.
  • Video editing skills for creating engaging content.
