Cloud Engineer in SPAIN

We’re a purely cloud-based company, hosting on AWS locations worldwide and in the process of deploying more cloud-neutral using Kubernetes on EU-based cloud providers. The nature of our service requires it be very high performing, very scalable and with basically no downtime, also not during updates. Our services process millions of identity documents, so security is crucial and a CloudOps Engineer is central to this.

Your responsibilities

You’ll work in a small CloudOps team, working closely with a DevOps team and our service delivery team. You’ll work with state-of-the-art tooling and standards, including Terraform, Ansible, Keycloak/OpenID Connect, Grafana, and the Elastic Stack.

• Deploy and maintain services on AWS- and Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructures.
• Maintain the Elastic Stack infrastructure.
• Further automate and tune our CloudOps operations.
• Once up to date, you will rotate into our 24x7 team, which currently consists of 5 people working 1 weekly shift.
• Collaborate mainly with our server development team to improve the performance and scalability of our services.
• Collaborate with our security team (CISO, pentester) to keep our infrastructure secure.
• You work in our Enschede (HQ) office, with at least two days a week in the office.

What do you bring?

• A MSc or BSc degree in computer science, software engineering, computer security or similar
• Preferably you have a few years of experience, but you can also apply if you just left school or have more experience
• Good command of the English language, Dutch is optional
• Experience with Kubernetes is a requirement
• Proven experience with public cloud, including at least AWS or an OpenStack based cloud
• Experience with automation and continuous integration
• Security is important to you, in terms of technology, organisation and processes
• Experience with machine learning, for example, ML Flow, is a pre
• Experience with Elastic Stack (ELK) is a pre
• Trust is very important, thus you will be subject to a screening
