Senior Manager Product Engineering in DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

This role is responsible for overseeing product engineering operations in the DR. By leading various product teams (e.g., development and quality), this role plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for the local product team, including partnering with the talent acquisition team to develop internship programs and expand the team.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, innovation, and direction to guide and support the local product team, overseeing aspects of the team’s functional work to ensure it meets the organization's current goals and objectives.
• Assists in the determination of project milestones and delivery timelines. Manages resources to release products on time and within budget.
• Ensures team meets project milestones and completes projects within the established timeline. Evaluates issues, provides resolution, and communicates to senior leadership.
• Drives continuous improvement activities. Reviews progress reports and recommends process improvements to facilitate development and implementation.
• Establishes and/or approves team’s operating policies and procedures and monitors to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
• Coordinates with the recruiting team to create internship program, identify talent, and grow the product team. Develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives.
• Leads and owns the development onboarding program, training new developers on tools, practices, build chain, release process, and quality standards.

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in computer science (or international equivalent), required.
• Master's degree (or international equivalent), preferred
• 8+ years of related experience, required. Including experience in technical leadership (i.e., leading engineering operations, large-scale technical projects, etc.).
• 10+ years of related experience, preferred.
• Comprehensive industry knowledge with an understanding of best practices and process in leading product teams.
• Expert project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines or conflicting demands, implementing or adapting to changes in work or procedure as needed.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Asana, etc. with the ability to utilize various programming languages, technology stacks, and related data technologies along with other internal and external integration frameworks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport, effectively collaborate, and influence across teams.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop others.
• Technical acumen with the ability to abstract from a detailed business requirement the necessary technical specifications to see how that detail can broadly be delivered utilizing all available tools and technologies.
• Ability to travel less than 5% of the time.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.
• Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.
