What's the DevOps Gig?
We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer (Mid-level or Senior) to join our remote team. You'll be the go-to person for keeping our infrastructure humming, scalable, and reliable. You'll work heavily with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and manage our Kubernetes clusters. A big, exciting challenge coming up? Helping us plan and execute our move to a multi-region infrastructure!
Here’s the kind of stuff you’ll be doing:
- Managing and improving our Kubernetes clusters (deployments, scaling, networking, the whole nine yards).
- Writing clean, maintainable Terraform code to define our infrastructure.
- Playing a crucial role in designing and implementing our multi-region strategy.
- Building, maintaining, and optimizing our CI/CD pipelines so developers can ship code smoothly.
- Setting up and refining monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar – tell us what you like!).
- Automating manual tasks wherever it makes sense – let's banish repetitive work!
- Collaborating closely with our developers to understand their needs and ensure infrastructure supports them well.
- Keeping an eye on security best practices across our infrastructure.
Who are we looking for? Someone who:
- Has solid, hands-on experience with Terraform (or similar IaC tools like Pulumi, CloudFormation).
- Knows their way around Kubernetes – managing clusters, deploying applications, troubleshooting.
- Has experience working with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Is familiar with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Has experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Can write scripts when needed (Bash, Python, Go, etc.).
- Understands networking concepts relevant to cloud and containerized environments.
- Has been working in DevOps, SRE, or similar infrastructure roles for a few years (e.g., 3-5+ years).
- Big Bonus Points: You've tackled multi-region infrastructure setups before!
