Mission

We are currently looking for a passionate Software Engineer with AI experience to join us at our Amsterdam office. You'll help shape the future of digital relocation by integrating AI-powered solutions into our platform to enhance automation, personalization, and efficiency in the relocation process.

Your Role:

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing our full-stack software solutions, with a particular focus on integrating AI models and tools into our system. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing our ability to deliver personalized, efficient, and scalable relocation services to international hires.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered features to improve automation, personalization, and decision-making in our platform, such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for dynamic information delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI tools with existing software infrastructure.
• Work on both front-end and back-end components, crafting robust solutions from the user interface to data management and AI model deployment.
• Ensure best practices in software craftsmanship through Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming, Continuous Refactoring, and Clean Code principles.
• Optimize application performance and scalability, particularly for AI-driven components.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in AI, cloud technologies, and software engineering practices, bringing innovative ideas to the team.

• Frontend: React, React Native, Expo, Jest, Storybook
• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Python, OAuth, Prisma 2
• Databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL
• AI Tools & Concepts: RAG systems, AI APIs, model fine-tuning, vector databases
• Development Practices: TDD, Pair Programming, Continuous Refactoring, Continuous Integration
• DevOps & Infrastructure: Docker, CI/CD pipelines

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer with exposure to AI tools, models, or frameworks.
• Strong fundamentals in software design patterns, clean code, and software architecture.
• Practical experience with AI utilities, cloud-based model deployment, or integrating AI APIs into applications.
• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, or interest in building similar AI-driven features.
• Passion for modern software development practices like TDD, Pair Programming, and Continuous Refactoring.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the Netherlands and willing to work on-site at our Amsterdam office.

Bonus Points:

• Hands-on experience with vector databases or AI frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile, XP, or Lean Startup environments.
• Previous exposure to our tech stack (React, Node.js, TypeScript, Python).
