Senior Test Analyst

Gravitas is working exclusively working on a fully remote fixed term opportunity for 12 Months with a client for a Senior Test Analyst with testing experience in D365 & Azure Devops.
About the Role
Essential you have experience on D365 & Azure Devops testing. Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously plan, design, and execute tests in close collaboration with our product teams. This will involve gaining a deep understanding of project requirements and objectives. Your expertise in test planning, design, and execution will be essential in ensuring that all functional and non-functional requirements are rigorously tested and validated. Defect management will be a crucial aspect of your role. You will be accountable for tracking and managing defects throughout the testing process. Properly documenting, prioritising, and retesting defects will be of utmost importance to maintain a well-organized defect management process within Azure Dev Ops. In addition to manual testing, the role requires skills in test automation. Depending on project requirements, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of automated test scripts. This will entail selecting appropriate tools and implementing automation frameworks to enhance the efficiency and coverage of our testing processes. Continuous improvement is a fundamental aspect of this role. It is expected that the role actively identifies opportunities for process optimisation, shares knowledge and best practices, and contributes to the ongoing enhancement of Irwin Mitchell's testing methodologies and tools.
Responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies, including both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Proven experience in conducting both functional and non-functional testing, including performance, security, APIs, and usability testing.
- Excellent understanding of software development lifecycles and testing methodologies (Agile & Waterfall).
- Experience in creating comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts across complex integrated systems to ensure thorough test coverage.
- Extensive experience of defect management, tracking, reporting and management of defects.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior test analysts, providing guidance and support throughout the testing process.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard testing tools, such as Azure Dev Ops Test Plans.
- Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL, with the ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, including engineers, business analysts, project managers and product owners.
Required Skills
- Prior experience in leading and mentoring junior test analysts.
- Experience in mobile application testing including testing on different devices and platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, and experience in integrating testing activities within these frameworks.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices and how testing can be effectively integrated into these processes.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge and proficiency in low code test automation tools and frameworks, such as SmartBear Test Complete, to develop and execute automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Experience of using and testing Dynamics 365.
- Experience testing various SaaS based solutions.
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or similar frameworks to develop automated test scripts.
- Expertise with C#, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, Selenium, Cucumber, Junit.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
Pay range and compensation package
£60,000 - £75,000
