Overview:

We’re on the hunt for a visionary Creative Director who lives and breathes branding and marketing. This is a contract/hourly role with the opportunity to grow into a part-time or full-time position — and potentially take on a key leadership role within the company. We’re looking for someone who can dream big for our clients and execute the day-to-day creative and strategic direction across all brand and marketing touchpoints.

You’ll lead everything from high-level creative strategy to the details of content outlines, brand guides, visual direction, and campaign execution. You’ll be the north star for our creative and marketing work, guiding our team in design, branding, web, and content to bring intentional, elevated experiences to life.

This role is ideal for someone with strong creative leadership, an eye for design and messaging, and the communication skills to keep projects aligned and moving forward.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Brand & Marketing Strategy: Own the creative direction across client and internal projects — including branding, marketing campaigns, content, and digital presence.
  • Creative Leadership: Serve as the creative point of contact between the client and our internal team (designers, copywriters, content strategists, etc.), ensuring the vision is executed with precision.
  • Brand Development: Develop and oversee the creation of brand identities, logos, moodboards, brand guidelines, and branded assets across platforms.
  • Web & Graphic Design Oversight: Lead the visual strategy for web design and graphic content, collaborating with our design team to ensure cohesion across every platform.
  • Content Oversight: Review content outlines, messaging frameworks, and campaign copy to ensure clarity, alignment, and visual consistency.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to uncover their voice, story, and aesthetic — and then translate that into a cohesive, intentional brand presence.
  • Conceptual Ideation: Take a client’s industry or niche and push the boundaries of what branding and marketing can look like in that space.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all visual and written outputs meet high creative standards and align with strategy.
  • Inspiration & Trends: Stay current with branding and marketing trends, and bring fresh thinking to every project.
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:
  • Have a killer portfolio of brand, web, and marketing work (bonus if you’ve led full brand builds or rebrands)
  • Are experienced in creative direction, brand strategy, and content strategy
  • Can lead with vision but also roll up your sleeves when needed
  • Love collaboration, feedback, and bouncing ideas around
  • Can take initiative, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects with ease
  • Are detail-obsessed, organized, and excited to grow with a supportive, creative team
  • Are a confident communicator who can align teams, clarify direction, and keep projects moving
Requirements:
  • 4+ years experience in creative direction, branding, marketing, or content strategy
  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams (designers, writers, strategists, etc.)
  • Strong background in branding, visual design, web direction, and creative strategy
  • Exceptional eye for aesthetics, layout, typography, and brand cohesion
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with reviewing and guiding content creation and content outlines
  • Ability to work remotely, independently, and flexibly
  • Comfortable with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, Notion, or similar
Bonus Skills (Not Required but a Huge Plus):
  • Logo design experience
  • Web design direction or brand-to-web translation
  • Copywriting or messaging strategy
  • Motion/Video design
  • Art direction for photo/video shoots
  • Experience reviewing or editing social or long-form content
