Senior Devops Engineer with ETL experience (relocation to Belgium) in PORTUGAL

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who is willing to relocate to join our Client’s team in Brussels, Belgium.

An ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ETL processes, application architecture, cloud platforms, and network security. This role demands a high degree of ownership, technical leadership, and proactive coordination across multiple teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable DevOps infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure).
• Manage and optimize ETL workflows with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for efficient data processing.
• Architect and troubleshoot client/server and middleware application environments, ensuring seamless integration and reliability.
• Implement robust application security practices, including authentication mechanisms and data protection techniques.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot complex software packages on diverse environments.
• Maintain and secure network configurations, including firewalls and proxies, while supporting multiple protocols.
• Support CI/CD pipeline development, monitor system health, and actively participate in on-call rotations to resolve critical incidents.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver solutions on time and with high quality.

Technical Skills Required:

• Proven expertise in ETL processes, specifically using SSIS.
• Strong knowledge of application architecture and integration patterns.
• Solid experience with application security protocols and identity/access management.
• Proficiency in software installation, debugging, and runtime troubleshooting.
• Comprehensive understanding of network infrastructure, security protocols, and defense mechanisms (e.g., firewalls, perimeter security).
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (IBM Cloud, AWS, or Azure).
• Competency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, PowerShell, or Python is highly desirable.
