Role Overview:
As the People Operations Specialist, you’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational functions related to employee productivity and team management, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow for our remote teams. You’ll help maximize team performance by driving clear roles and responsibilities by managing OKRs and ensuring accountability and keeping a pulse on the team's needs and progress. You will also be instrumental in supporting employee engagement and managing basic admin tasks, all while focusing on making sure the team is delivering at its best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Productivity & Performance Management: Help manage team goals, track performance, and provide actionable insights to improve individual and team productivity. Foster a high-performance culture that encourages continuous improvement and accountability.
- Employee Development & Growth: Identify top performers, recommend strategies for their growth, and provide guidance on career development opportunities. Work with leadership to assess and reward performance, including pay raises and performance incentives.
- Remote Team Engagement: Act as a key point of contact to ensure team members are focused on company tasks and not engaged in other employment during work hours, while also ensuring they feel appreciated and rewarded. Coordinate initiatives that foster a positive remote work culture, monitor task completion, and recognize contributions to maintain high morale
- Operational Support: Own and manage operational tasks such as tracking employee milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.), scheduling team events, and maintaining a calendar of important dates. Ensure that these administrative tasks are executed efficiently and consistently.
- Employee Check-ins & Feedback: Regularly check in with remote employees to understand their challenges, gather feedback, and offer solutions to improve their experience and performance.
- Employee Retention & Recognition: Help create and manage recognition programs that highlight achievements and keep employees feeling valued. Ensure that employees feel recognized and rewarded for going above and beyond.
- Process Improvement: Continuously look for ways to streamline operations, optimize workflows, and improve team efficiency. Implement tools or processes to help with tracking performance, setting goals, and measuring team success.
- Basic Administration: Handle simple admin tasks (like maintaining calendars, scheduling celebrations, etc.) to ensure team members feel valued and supported in a remote-first environment.
Qualifications Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in operations, team management, or a similar people-focused role in a remote,
- 3+ years SaaS Experience.
- 5+ experience working with project management software such as Asana Click up Monday, Basecamp ect..
- Solid experience in managing remote teams, driving productivity, and ensuring high performance in a distributed workforce.
- Proven success in managing offshore team performance and driving accountability.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stay on top of tasks.
- Experience in working with OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs and responsibilities.
- Experience with performance tracking tools and team management software.
- A hands-on, “get-things-done” attitude with a passion for optimizing team success and creating a positive work environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote work setup.
- Flexibility to work US Eastern Time or US Pacific Time.
- Bonus if you have SalesForce EOS (Book Traction by Gino Wickman) or Experience in ASANA
