Job Description:

As a Web Developer at WAM Digital, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining high-performance websites and digital platforms. This position requires strong experience in WordPress development, as well as solid command of modern frameworks and front-end technologies. You’ll be working across a variety of projects from custom WordPress builds to dynamic React/Vue interfaces and creative animations helping deliver seamless digital experiences at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain websites using WordPress CMS, including custom themes and plugins following best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
• Customize layouts and components using ACF, Elementor, WPBakery, and other page builders where required.
• Integrate SEO and performance tools like Yoast SEO, Wordfence, caching solutions, and ensure basic technical SEO best practices.
• Work with PHP, HTML, CSS/SASS, and Tailwind CSS to create responsive and accessible interfaces.
• Develop scalable components and UIs using React and Vue.js in projects based on frameworks like Next.js, Nuxt.js, and Laravel.
• Implement advanced animations using libraries such as GSAP and Three.js to elevate creative output.
• Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and other developers in Agile/Scrum workflows.
• Use tools like Git and Jira to manage code versioning and task tracking efficiently.
• Participate in planning, reviews, and technical discussions, contributing to the evolution of our development standards.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in WordPress development, including advanced customization with ACF and theme/plugin development.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and practical use of React or Vue.js in front-end projects.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML/CSS, Tailwind CSS, and modern development workflows.
• Experience with frameworks such as Next.js, Nuxt.js, and Laravel.
• Working knowledge of WordPress ecosystem tools (Yoast, Wordfence, caching).
• Familiarity with Git version control and basic workflows (feature/hotfix branches, merges).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira.
• Fluent in English (minimum B2 level), with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Nice-to-haves (not requirements):

• Experience with Headless CMS, REST APIs, or GraphQL integrations.
• Familiarity with Node.js for scripts, services, or fullstack support.
• Background in e-commerce development (WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify) with focus on performance and UX.
