Role Overview:

Developers work in sub-teams with specific focuses under an Engineering Manager who

mentors and supervises them. The environment is deeply collaborative, and focused on

expanding and refining features in an established code base. Developers have work assigned to

them that comes from many sources, and encompasses many varieties (internal automation,

communication with 3rd party systems, ease of use features, etc). Most importantly, we believe

in letting our developers develop! We want you spending time in the code base, not in meetings

and micromanagement.

You'll be expected to learn and understand the architecture of our core product, consisting of a

Javascript Single Page Application on the front end (using Ext.js), a RESTful API-based Ruby

on Rails back end, and a Postgres database. We give all of our developers the opportunity to

work with our full stack, while still understanding that different individuals may have specialized

skill sets or interests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within a sub-team under an Engineering Manager’s guidance
• Focus on improving and expanding an established codebase
• Work on tasks across internal automation, third-party integrations, and UX enhancements
• Gain experience with the full stack:
• Frontend: JavaScript SPA (Ext.js)
• Backend: Ruby on Rails (RESTful APIs)
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Flexibility to specialize based on your skills and interests

Qualifications:

• At least 4+ years of experience using Ruby on Rails.
• Experience using JavaScript. Familiarity with a JavaScript Single Page Application framework, especially Ext.js is a plus
• Comfort with modern web architecture
• Strong English Communication Skills

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9pm to 6am PHT
