An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Systems Architect with expertise in 5G PHY layer software engineering and proficiency in C/C++. The Systems Architect will work with a innovative, UK based company who are at the forefront of telecommunications and satellite communications technology innovation. As a Systems Architect, you will influence and guide the development of high-performance applications and embedded software solutions for real-time 5G network systems.

About the Role: This position offers a unique chance to make pivotal technical decisions and lead the architecture and implementation of novel approaches to 5G High-PHY technologies, including nFAPI and eCPRI, in various industrial applications such as Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Satellite communications. Our client has already pioneered channel coding and error correction techniques for cellular communications hardware and is in the process of further improving speed and computational performance in cellular, NTN, and Satcoms.

Key Skills:

• Mastery in C++/C
• Expertise in 5G PHY layer signal processing software implementation
• Proven experience in embedded software engineering for real-time operating systems
• Strong skills in Linux
• Excellent technical and mentorship abilities

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and optimization of real-time High PHY software implementations of 5G wireless communication signal processing using x86 or ARM targets.
• Make critical technical decisions and lead on the architecture and implementation of innovative 5G High-PHY technologies like nFAPI and eCPRI.
• Provide technical leadership in developing and optimizing high-performance software and APIs for hardware implementations using technologies like Linux DPDK and PCIe.
• Design software solutions throughout the product lifecycle, offering technical critique and guidance on existing product offerings and approaches.
