Job Description


Release Manager + DevOps person.


The role will require working on Azure DevOps, Pipelines, (Code and DB), as well as help with Release management activities, such as Change requests etc.


The person needs to have solid communication and organization skills. Looking for a senior person (at least 10+ years’ experience).


Release Management Activities –

Create CRs

Use Service Now (SNOW) to create all CRs

Create CTASK for Prod Control, DBAs, Infra Azure, Windows team, etc.

Download all sql .zip files and attach to CTASK for sql database changes

Attend CAB meetings and seek approvals

Be available to coordinate deployments during Daily CAB (M-Th, 3pm-5pm EST)

Facilitate meetings to determine/approval all Emergency changes

Emergency Releases (when needed)


Manage all Emergency RM activities, pre/during/post to include SNOW, Jira, CRs, CTASK, files, participants, escalations, GCTO coordination’s, etc.

o Create Jira ticket list in Excel to keep teams up to date on status of tickets and deadlines to include record keeping/tracking for RM

Extract Releases by Fixed Version id in Jira Projects to the Issue Navigator (download to Excel)

Organize Excel by Label, Component, & Team and group together to track incomplete tickets

Isolate SQL tickets (highlight for tracking)

Save the file and attach it to Teams Communication for Weekly and Daily Releases

Update Jira and spreadsheet for tickets not ready by Monday’s noon extension deadline

Push tickets out to next Daily, Weekly, or Bi-Weekly Release and post in Teams and inform ticket owners

Audit/Communicate Weekly Release update (spreadsheet content) pre and post release.
