Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer in SRI LANKA

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our remote engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and tools to ensure the quality and performance of our applications and platforms.

• Design, implement, and maintain robust automation test suites for web, API, and backend systems.
• Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards.
• Build and manage CI/CD test automation pipelines.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and report bugs and issues using tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing automation test results and metrics.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in automation best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation (with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role).
• Expertise in test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
• Experience with RESTful API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks like Cucumber, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, or similar DevOps tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Experience in performance testing (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with AI/ML-based testing tools or data validation pipelines.
