Are you a high-energy web developer with a proven track record in design and development, ready to streamline website builds? We are seeking a talented and reliable Web Developer to become a crucial extension of our team, focusing primarily on e-commerce solutions. This role starts part-time with the potential for rapid growth.
What You'll Be Doing:
- E-commerce Development: Develop (mostly e-commerce) websites on Shopify and WordPress (potentially Wix, Squarespace)
- Website Design & Implementation: Design visually appealing and user-friendly website layouts and flows (if design-focused), or implement provided designs
- E-commerce Integration: Integrate e-commerce functionality (checkout, product pages, shipping, payment gateways)
- Strategic Input: Provide strategic input on website structure and features
- Website Maintenance: Maintain and update existing client websites
- Critical Thinking: Think critically about website structure and user experience
- UX Improvement: Propose suggestions to improve user experience and conversion rates
- A decent track record of building visually appealing Shopify and WordPress websites
- Strong front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Proficiency in responsive web design and mobile optimization
- Understanding of e-commerce best practices and functionality
- Ability to translate design mockups into functional websites
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proactive and able to think critically about website solutions
- Experience in designing visually appealing website layouts and user flows (a big plus!)
- Basic graphic design and photo editing capabilities(a big plus!)
- ~40 hours/month
- Fully remote position
- Start date: ASAP
- Starting salary: $400+ (flexible depending on experience and background)
- Opportunity to grow to more hours based on performance
