Key Responsibilities
- Salary and Benefits Management
- Manage and process payroll information to ensure timely and accurate payments, including tax compliance, social security reports, and financial accounting inputs.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR teams to ensure payroll accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and comply with internal/external audits.
- Organize the annual salary review process and support merit, promotion, and bonus calculations in line with company guidelines.
- Develop and implement compensation structures to align with internal equity and external market competitiveness.
- Prepare salary proposals for all positions, ensuring alignment with cost impact, internal equity, and external benchmarks.
- Total Rewards Strategy & Market Benchmarking
- Conduct annual benefits reviews and benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with business strategy.
- Lead strategic initiatives related to total rewards, including benefits optimization, employee value proposition enhancements, and workforce attraction/retention strategies.
- Support policy design and governance for global mobility, expatriate compensation, and relocation benefits.
- Oversee the full cycle of retirement pension plans, insurance benefits, and year-end tax settlement processes.
- Manage the company’s employee wellness programs, ensuring alignment with overall Total Rewards strategy.
- Partner with vendors and brokers to enhance employee benefits offerings and optimize costs.
- Equity Program & Tax Support
- Oversee the administration of employee equity programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
- Provide guidance on the tax implications of equity compensation, including income tax, capital gains tax, and social security considerations.
- Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams to ensure accurate reporting and withholding of taxes related to equity compensation.
- Support employees by providing education and consultation on their equity compensation taxation and financial impact.
- Headcount Planning, Budgeting, and Cost Estimation
- Lead annual budget planning and cost estimation for compensation and benefits, ensuring financial sustainability.
- Work closely with Finance and HR leadership to forecast personnel costs, including salary increments, hiring projections, and benefits expenses.
- Analyze and monitor compensation-related financial data to provide insights on cost control, and strategic workforce planning.
- Stakeholder Collaboration HR & Compliance
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
- Provide consulting support to HRBPs and business leaders on compensation strategy and employee rewards programs.
- Engage in employee communication initiatives to enhance understanding of total rewards programs and improve employee experience.
- To ensure an up-to-date and effective human resources records and information system is maintained. Manage the use of those information and data
- To manage the administration and production of various HR related reports (e.g. headcount report, staff movement report, etc.)
- Support to the company quarterly event
- Support international assignment employees with payroll VISA and tax matters
- Manage HR organizational changes and operational updates (Workday, C&B review, Job leveling)
Qualification
- University graduate
- At least 5 years' relevant experience in HR field with solid experience in Compensation & Benefits at life science related multinational company
- In-depth knowledge of HR trends, market benchmarking and income tax, and HR related regulations
- Sensitive to numbers, forward thinking, analytical, research and presentation skills
