Your future contribution
As a Data Analyst within the Demand Data team, you will contribute to advancing the analytics ecosystem for HomeToGo’s marketing, product, customer experience and listing solutions domains. You’ll work with cutting edge technology and multi-terabyte datasets in your day-to-day work, in which you’ll develop pipelines, build data models, create dashboards, and conduct analyses. You’ll surface trends and provide data-driven recommendations that help business teams in maximizing return on ad spend, optimizing support agent staffing, improving web and app features, and much more. How You’ll Add Value
- Liaise with business teams to understand the challenges they face, and turn those into requirements for data products that address those challenges
- Build and maintain robust pipelines that deliver reliable data flows to internal reporting tools as well as external vendors, thus ensuring both a high level of stakeholder trust in data as well as stable processes (e.g. automated paid search bidding)
- Create engaging dashboards and visualizations that tell a story with data and enable easy extraction of relevant insights
- Actively generate prescriptive analytics: based on the results of reporting and ad-hoc analyses, develop and deliver actionable, data-informed recommendations to business teams
You’ll be successful in this role if you
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role as a data analyst or data engineer within a business-facing team
- A strong SQL background, including ETL transformations and data modelling (experience with dbt is a plus)Previous experience in data visualization (e.g. in Superset, Looker, etc.)
- Proficiency in a structured programming language such as Python
- Excellent communication skills in English as well as strong interpersonal skills, such that you’re able to easily break down complex ideas and “translate” data-speak to different audiences (including senior leadership)
- Interest in working on tasks that span a wide variety of business domains and stakeholders
