What is the job about?


We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize cloud systems, streamline continuous integration and delivery processes, and automate deployments to enhance quality and efficiency across all our products. In this role, you'll be instrumental in working with multiple teams within the organization, ensuring seamless automation and enhancing our product delivery through modern cloud practices.


What exactly will you do?


  • Manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes primarily in public cloud environments.
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitOps practices to streamline deployments.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code to provision secure, scalable, and repeatable environments.
  • Automate deployments and configurations to reduce errors and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure robust security and secrets management.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate modern deployment practices with existing IT systems and drive business solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to support continuous improvement in our microservices ecosystem.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and system designs to maintain operational transparency and compliance with policies and procedures.


What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
  • Proven expertise in building and managing production environments using Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, OpenTofu, or CloudFormation to create scalable and secure environments.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins and ArgoCD.
  • Hands-on experience with either Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Familiarity with coding and scripting using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and incorporate their feedback effectively.

Desirable:

  • Experience with managing and deploying Kubernetes on bare-metal infrastructure.
  • Energy Industry Knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computing science or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes certifications are considered a strong asset.
