Ambushed.tv LTD makes over 600 TVC treatments every year for some of the most prestigious advertising campaigns in the world, helping talented directors win their competitions.
We are now hiring to fill an ART DIRECTOR position. This is a key management role for our company.
A background in an ad agency would be a huge plus.

The tasks
- Acute understanding of agency briefs, art directing, managing client communication and team morale during intense creative "battles"
- Moodboarding and finding creative/innovative ideas to express the visions of our directors visually (layout rhythm, fonts, mood boarding a visual vibe, finding tricks to deliver fresh and amazing treatments)
- Becoming the panoptic co-creative and organisational manager of a team composed of 70 freelancers.
The conditions
- Fully remote (clients are primarily based in the EU and US time zones)
- The company operates 7 days a week. Your schedule: 1/2 day of preparation for your shift, 4 days of intense work, then 3.5 days of full rest (rolling schedule). Work days are generally from 9 am GMT to 11 pm GMT, most of the time, longer.
- We pay between €5 500 and €7 000 per month according to experience (this includes a base compensation + performance linked to each month's revenue) upon invoice at first.
- 22 days of break to be taken at any point in the year + 13 days between the 21st of December to the 2nd of January (when the company is closed).
- Opportunity to grow inside the company and take more and more control and management positions as we grow
- Possibility to arrange a permanent contract later on (to be discussed after 6 months)
Your necessary qualities
- Art director/designer background (xp in Visual Research, Moodboarding, and the ability to use basic Photoshop, InDesign, website builders like Readymag & Figma, a plus) - you'll need to coordinate efficiently specialists on these tools.
- Love of film and storytelling, sharp understanding of visual narratives
- Excellent people skills: ability to inspire teams and manage clients
- Excellent organisation skills
- Excellent command of English, good telephone and email manners
- Thrives in high-pressure environments, maintaining exceptional composure while inspiring teams to deliver exceptional work under extreme constraints and tight deadlines.
