We are looking for a Senior Back-End Developer with deep expertise in PHP and Laravel to join our remote team in Egypt. If you're passionate about clean code, modern architecture, and scalable APIs, we want to hear from you!
What Youll Do
System design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable back-end systems using Laravel (PHP).
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services that power our web and mobile applications.
Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews and help mentor junior developers.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in PHP, with strong proficiency in Laravel framework.
Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
Knowledge of caching, queue management, and performance optimization.
Experience integrating with third-party APIs and services.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of backend architecture.
Good communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in a remote team.
Nice to Have
Experience with Docker or other container technologies.
Familiarity with AWS, Digital Ocean, or other cloud platforms.
Understanding of microservices architecture.
Knowledge of unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
