We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Backend Developer(Node.js) to join our lean, high-performing engineering team. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who thrives in small, fast-moving teams with lots of ownership and technical depth.

You’ll be building and scaling backend services in Node.js and TypeScript, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and clean code. You should be fluent in SQL and have a solid handle on modern infrastructure and DevOps practices.


What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js (TypeScript)
  • Write clean, tested, and well-structured code using Express, Zod, MySQL, and Jest
  • Contribute to performance optimization across database queries, APIs, and CI workflows
  • Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, and Linux/Unix tools
  • Support observability and monitoring with tools like OpenTelemetry, Elasticsearch, etc.
  • Collaborate closely with a small team and take ownership of technical decisions
  • Work in a startup-style environment: fast, focused, and flexible


Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of hands-on backend experience using TypeScript + Node.js
  • Strong understanding of SQL (MySQL) and ability to write/optimize complex queries
  • Familiar with Express.js, Zod, REST APIs, testing (e.g. Jest or Mocha)
  • Comfortable navigating Linux servers, using AWS stack, managing deployments
  • Solid grasp of infrastructure tools (e.g., Terraform, Docker)
  • Experience working with tests and CI pipelines
  • Excellent communication in English, comfortable in async and live discussions
  • Consistent work history (no early drop-outs without reason)
  • Strong sense of ownership and interest in building high-impact products


Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Redis, Bull Queue, Clickhouse, Cassandra, or Elasticsearch
  • Functional programming mindset
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry / OpenTracing
  • Freelance or startup background
  • Experience working on high-traffic products (millions of users)
  • Interest in product-driven work and cross-functional collaboration
