Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Contract Type: One-year contract with intention to become permanent

Salary: €4,000 - €5,800 gross per month based on relevant experience

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the construction scope for structural engineering projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated team of engineers, providing guidance and support.
  • Manage the scope, planning, and budget for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure the final design is coordinated, integrated, and meets quality standards. Oversee detailed engineering and documentation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and regulations. Conduct quality checks and audits.
  • Work closely with other Project Engineers to ensure multidisciplinary alignment and integration.
  • Contribute to the development of the department through supervision, training, and innovation initiatives.


Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture and/or Ocean Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in yachtbuilding or a similar industry, with a strong understanding of structural engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software such as Team Center NX and 3D modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, including Class and Flag standards, and the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Experience in managing scope, planning, and budget for engineering projects.
  • Ability to identify technical bottlenecks and provide interdisciplinary solutions.
  • Strong focus on quality control, ensuring high standards for drawings and other information carriers.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with the Owner's team, PME, Project Lead, Lead Engineer, fellow engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Experience in supervising and guiding engineers, providing coaching and professional development.
  • Ability to ensure multidisciplinary alignment and collaboration within the project team.
