The Opportunity

Bedford Lane is set to grow over the next few months. In preparation for that, we are keen to speak with skilled Front End Shopify Developers who are thinking about their next move! The sky is the limit as we scale, with lots of exciting projects and growth opportunities on the table.

You

• Are highly skilled in Shopify (Liquid, APIs, Functions & UI extensions), HTML, CSS, Vanilla Javascript
• Have a design eye, and you’re familiar with Figma, bringing prototypes and creatives to life through code
• Have experience and a keen eye for detail when creating animations using CSS and JavaScript libraries such as GSAP and Framer Motion.
• Are considerate, empathetic, and kind
• Have experience working directly with clients and can bring a strategic mindset to client solutions
• Share knowledge. You are collaborative, enjoy learning from those around you, and have a team mindset
• Have an interest in developing skills in React, Vue.js, Node.js, and other web application technologies (bonus if you have one or two of these already)
• May also have knowledge of CRUD operations via API technologies such as REST and GraphQL

What success looks like over the next 12 months

• Liaising with clients, defining the strategy for projects, ensuring that all key stakeholders' perspectives are accounted for, and providing winning solutions through collaboration with a cross functional team
• Develop and customise engaging ecommerce websites on Shopify
• Collaborate closely with our designers to create custom themes and layouts, taking them from concept → prototype → implementation with expertise
• Optimise websites for speed, usability, performance, security and discoverability - with a positive customer experience front of mind
• Debug and test websites to enhance performance
• Ensure smooth connections with Shopify Apps, Marketing Tools and Platform APIs
• Develop reusable code and libraries for future use, documenting the development process and user guides as you go
• Participate in code reviews to keep our code quality at the highest level
