About The Role

Our client is recruiting Senior .NET Developers to join their growing team. Senior .NET Developers work in multi-disciplinary teams that build, support, and maintain user-centred digital solutions that provide real value and work for everyone.

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will act as a senior consultant, providing technical expertise in software engineering practices both internally and to clients. You will drive the team's technical deliverables, maintain client relationships, and be passionate about developing and upskilling others.

Your Role in a Nutshell:

  • Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) within the squad to produce and ensure user-centred software is developed based on business requirements and following best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to explore, design, and deliver solutions to client problems.
  • Design and manage software development and deployment pipelines, resolving issues and potential bottlenecks before they occur.
  • Be a strong communicator and presenter, presenting prototypes, solutions, and progress to internal/external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Build great relationships with your team and stakeholders, identifying and ensuring that challenges are overcome.
  • Participate in the recruitment of other engineers and support other consultants in their professional development.
  • Promote the company’s engineering culture externally (e.g., through writing blogs, workshops, seminars, or conferences).

About the Candidate:

The ideal candidate should have experience and confidence in:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical terms depending on the audience.
  • The full development lifecycle, delivering user-centred digital solutions.
  • Full stack development using .NET6/.NET Core, with skills in languages such as C#, F#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • JavaScript library and framework experience (preferably Node, React, Angular).
  • Containerisation experience (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar).
  • Experience with Microservices design and architecture.
  • Experience with RESTful API Services.
  • Working within agile methods and using techniques such as Scrum, Kanban, and TDD.
  • Skilled in designing and building native and web applications across various scales and platform environments.
  • Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM, or similar).
  • Expertise in Azure and DevOps.
  • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, Azure DevOps, and Atlassian.
  • Previous experience working on government or NHS projects would be highly desirable.

Locations

Our client is headquartered in Leeds, with additional locations across the UK in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, London, and Bristol. They welcome candidates from all over the UK and offer the flexibility to work from any of their locations. Additionally, a generous relocation support package of up to £8k is available. Given the dynamic nature of their business, you may be required to work on-site at client locations or remotely from your own home.
