About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled PHP WordPress Developer to join our client’s growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress-based websites to ensure seamless functionality, performance, and user experience. You will work closely with the marketing, design, and content teams to align website functionality with business objectives, supporting lead generation, marketing automation, and customer engagement.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP, WordPress backend development, API integrations, and cloud hosting. You should also have experience with marketing and CRM tools and be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and security.
- Customize WordPress themes, plugins, and templates to enhance functionality and meet business needs.
- Implement and optimize API integrations (REST API, GraphQL, Webhooks) for seamless data exchange.
- Enhance website speed, security, and performance through database optimization, caching strategies, and troubleshooting tools.
- Leverage WordPress Debug Mode, error logs, and developer tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement tracking tools, landing pages, and campaign-related website enhancements.
- Integrate HubSpot, Dialpad, and other CRM/marketing tools for seamless automation and lead management.
- Ensure SEO best practices by implementing Schema Markup, Yoast SEO, and Google Analytics.
- Manage cloud hosting solutions (Microsoft Azure) and website deployment workflows.
- Work with version control and CI/CD pipelines for code management and deployment.
Must-Have
Competencies and Qualifications
- Proficiency in PHP and strong WordPress backend development skills, including theme customization and plugin creation.
- Front-end development expertise – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery for responsive and interactive web design.
- Experience with API integrations – REST API, Webhooks, GraphQL for external service connectivity.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure hosting and experience integrating HubSpot, Dialpad, and marketing tools.
- Strong debugging skills – WordPress Debug Mode, error logs, and developer tools for issue resolution.
- Ability to optimize SEO using Yoast SEO, Google Analytics, and Schema Markup.
- A strong portfolio showcasing WordPress backend development (GitHub repositories preferred).
- Certifications in PHP, JavaScript, SQL, or WordPress development (e.g., WP Engine Certified Developer, PHP Certification).
Nice-to-Have
- Database Management – Experience with SQL/MySQL for WordPress database administration and query optimization.
- A/B Testing & Conversion Rate Optimization for marketing campaign improvements.
- Experience in the real estate or property investment industry.
- Project Management experience (e.g., Monday.com) for workflow efficiency.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
