Summary
The Product Strategy and Architecture (PSA) department is a centralized function within the Software Engineering division, responsible for Extended Vehicle Software and Electrical/Electronic (SW & E/E) product strategy, overall architecture, and system engineering. The Vehicle Network (NW) design team is tasked with designing the topology, network, and communication infrastructure for the complete electrical system of vehicles.
As a System Architect in this centralized team, you will collaborate closely with system architects from various domains to drive innovation in future vehicle systems. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions for software-defined vehicles (SDVs), where your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping efficient SW and E/E systems.
What You Will Do
- Lead and contribute to concept studies of complete electrical system topologies.
- Drive and justify decisions based on concept study outcomes.
- Lead cost-efficiency and optimization-related studies.
- Monitor and evaluate implementation, focusing on variant management.
- Manage escalated risks and impediments with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation in line with Vehicle Program timing requirements.
- Identify and implement process and tool improvements to support complete system architecture development.
What You Will Bring
You are a collaborative, communicative, and results-oriented professional with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Your experience in software and electrical system architecture, particularly within the automotive industry, will help you succeed in this role. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, and working in both AUTOSAR and non-AUTOSAR environments will also be highly valued.
Minimum Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Data/SW/IT engineering, or similar relevant experience with technical expertise in embedded systems development.
- Proven experience in SW & E/E architecture design and modeling, particularly with a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and API-first approach.
- Experience with ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and HPC (High Performance Computer) engineering, as well as software-defined vehicle concepts.
- Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, preferably PREEvision.
- Strong communication and persuasive argumentation skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, promoting collaboration, transparency, and efficiency in delivery with a focus on quality.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); Swedish proficiency is an advantage.
