Summary
We embark on a transformative journey to integrate Bazel into our central computing nodes, driving innovation and efficiency in our software development processes. To achieve this, we are establishing a central team that will:
- Own and maintain essential Bazel rules.
- Serve as internal experts on Bazel.
- Develop and enhance our Remote Execution cluster in the cloud.
As a team member, you will work in the Test Governance area, collaborating with internal development teams to analyze, review, and support test planning and case development using our in-house software test tools. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with test automation, test framework development, deployment in CI environments, and ensuring the operational stability of these environments.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with some of the industry's most senior developers and architects. You will also have the chance to contribute innovations to open-source communities, aligning with our belief in the power of open-source collaboration.
What You Will Do
- Engage with internal development teams to analyze and support test plans and test case development.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize test automation frameworks and tools.
- Deploy and maintain tests in Continuous Integration (CI) environments, ensuring operational reliability.
- Create and maintain Bazel rules essential for our core software systems.
- Collaborate with senior developers and architects to enhance our Software Factory and Development Kits.
- Participate in open-source projects related to Bazel, Buildbarn, Zuul, Nix, Firecracker, and other components.
- Develop dashboards and visualization tools for test results and system performance (e.g., using Grafana, Power BI).
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python, including experience with PyTest.
- Strong knowledge of Docker for containerization.
- Hands-on experience with Software Development and Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
- Solid understanding of Software Testing principles and practices.
- Experience working in Linux environments
Good To Have
- Proficiency in C++.
- Experience with Bazel for build and test automation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Zuul.
- Familiarity with Ansible for automation.
- Experience in developing or maintaining test frameworks.
- Skills in data visualization using tools like Grafana or Power BI.
