Job Summary
As a member of the Havas Media team, the European Business Director is responsible for leading the relationship with a global automotive client. The role requires a blend of multinational media coordination experience, development and application of multinational strategic planning principles and media best practices, local strategy and media performance support, client account management and team management.
You should build trustful relationships with all client stakeholders and be regarded as reliable, responsive and be their go-to contact by being actively involved and overseeing all projects. You own the client relationship day to day and are responsible for the quality of our work. You will need to have a deep understanding of your client’s unique needs and will be expected to act as a partner to guide and support them to achieve their objectives both operationally and strategically.
Responsibilities
Leadership of the daily client relationship
Responsible for all client related account activity and day to day output from the Frankfurt Hub
Works closely with the relevant internal stakeholders to ensure the business runs smoothly, consulting with them to maximise learning and application of business best-practices
Work seamlessly with your Client Services team counterparts to ensure efficiencies and economies are enjoyed. Sharing of ideas, practices and resources is essential
Mentor your team. Ensure they operate effectively and efficiently, learning from you and each other. Introduce them to fresh thinking & seek opportunities for their personal development
Drive an agenda to constantly deliver strategic value-add (shifting from today’s operational/coordination function to establishing a meaningful media agenda in all engagements with both local agencies and clients)
Lead the response to client briefs alongside relevant teams, connecting and managing the integrated working process from end-to-end. Accountable for delivering valuable, high-quality recommendations to clients
Develop best practice guidelines and media principles for local markets to ensure adherence to central strategic frameworks
Be well informed about the current and future trends, in technology and media - and able to hold insightful discussions with clients, proactively bringing them recommendations
Lead and attend regular client meetings. Ensure the content delivered is to a high standard and driving conversations forward
Create action plans at client assessments which need to be delivered by the relevant teams to ensure assessment scores are maintained or improved
Manage up to ensure that all senior leaders are continually aware of opportunities and risks for clients, the business and people
Support team in the development of the Annual Growth Plan
Lead by example; as a senior member of the agency your behaviour sets the tone for the rest of the team – encourage teams to attend agency seminars and events plus support internal initiatives
Understand Havas Media Network’s products and services and how they can help our clients, specifically data and content
Build relationships with internal stakeholders and communities
Be in constant search for opportunities through the scope of Havas Village and Vivendi entities
Seek and develop Out of Scope opportunities and channel choice that provide enhanced revenue opportunities both with central initiatives and supporting local teams
Ensure smooth and efficient delivery of all campaigns
Work with clients to ensure we are supporting and managing their process expectations and that there is network-wide understanding and compliance. Use every opportunity to improve process, maximise Havas efficiency and promote internal services
Ensure quarterly KPI deliverables are being prepared and delivered regularly to ensure current client priorities are considered
