Job Title: Project QA Lead

Location: Osaka, Japan

Position Type: Full-Time, Hybrid (3 days in office)

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days remote)


Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Project QA Lead to oversee the testing processes for Salesforce applications within the manufacturing domain. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Japanese and English, with a proven track record of managing QA teams, collaborating with onshore and offshore teams, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing Management: Lead the end-to-end testing process for Salesforce applications, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with both Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders, including customers, development teams, and both onshore and offshore teams.
  • Test Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases specifically for Salesforce applications and related integrations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders to convert business requirements into detailed test cases.
  • Data Validation: Ensure data quality by validating data sources, transformations, and loading processes within the Salesforce environment.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of testers, offering guidance and support while ensuring successful project delivery from offshore.
  • Testing Execution: Perform various types of testing, including functional, system integration, end-to-end, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Documentation: Design, document, and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and test cases. Track and manage defects to closure.
  • Quality Assurance: Act as a key contact for all testing-related activities, providing regular updates to stakeholders and ensuring that QA objectives are met.
  • Project Coordination: Manage testing deliverables efficiently and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience: 5-8 years of software testing experience, with a strong focus on manual testing of Salesforce applications and web applications.
  • Languages: Fluency in both Japanese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Domain Expertise: Experience in the manufacturing domain, understanding industry-specific processes.
  • Testing Knowledge: Proficiency in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Quality Assurance methodologies like Agile and Scrum.
  • Salesforce Tools: Hands-on experience with Salesforce testing tools and environments such as Salesforce Inspector, Workbench, and related tools.
  • SQL Skills: Basic understanding of SQL, capable of writing simple queries for data validation.
  • Defect Management: Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Jira, TFS, or similar.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and mentor testing teams and oversee offshore QA deliverables.
  • Work Mode: Must work from the Osaka office for the first 4 to 5 months (3 days per week), with flexibility to work from the base city thereafter.
  • Citizenship: Native Japanese
  • Early Joiner Preferred: Looking for candidates who can join at the earliest.

  2. One in-person interview with the country head (native Japanese).
