Back-End Software Engineer in GUATEMALA

Who We Are

Our client is a startup enabling Vertical SaaS platforms to embed accounting solutions. Their vision is to be the financial record of truth for vertical SaaS and their SMB customers, while automating critical workflows—such as bookkeeping and accounting—through vertical agents built on our foundational ledger.

The Role

As their first back-end hire, you’ll build and optimize their core infrastructure, including our RESTful API, distributed processing systems, and integrations (e.g., Plaid). You’ll also shape our technical direction and engineering culture while collaborating closely with the CTO and CEO.

What You'll Do

●    Build new features for our accounting platform from concept to deployment.

●    Ensure our distributed services and categorization pipeline run securely, efficiently, and accurately.

●    Integrate third-party services like Plaid.

●    Define, refine, and test AI-driven accounting workflows.

●    Drive features and project independently, maintain robust tests, and uphold code standards.

What you bring?

●    Experience: You have at least seven years of experience developing and launching production software, including leading projects and making architectural decisions in a startup environment.

●    Technical: Proficient in Python, Golang, Java, or JavaScript, with hands-on AWS experience (ECS, RDS, and related DevOps practices).

●    Communication: You’re a confident English communicator who’s eager to talk directly with customers and partners.

Q15,000 to Q25,000
