This is a fully remote role to work for our US-based clients, a fast-growing mental health company. The HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in recruiting top-tier therapists and administrative staff, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and industry regulations. This role will focus on scaling the team, optimizing the hiring process, fostering a strong workplace culture, and ensuring all HR policies align with company goals as they keep expanding.

Responsibilities


  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:Develop and execute a strategic recruitment plan to attract and hire high-quality therapists and staff.
  • Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, professional networks, and referrals.
  • Manage the full-cycle hiring process, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • Ensure all candidates meet licensing and credentialing requirements for their respective roles.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to support business growth and therapist expansion.
  • Employee Relations & Retention:Serve as the primary HR contact for therapists and staff, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
  • Develop employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and reduce turnover.
  • Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews to gain insights into employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Implement performance review processes and provide feedback to support employee growth.
  • HR Compliance & Policy Management:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific employment regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FMLA, EEOC, labor laws).
  • Maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and procedures in alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee therapist credentialing, background checks, and licensing renewals.
  • Stay updated on HR best practices, labor laws, and industry standards to ensure compliance.
  • Onboarding & Training: Develop and streamline the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration of new therapists and staff.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to facilitate training programs for therapists.
  • Ensure new hires receive proper training on company policies, EHR systems (SimplePractice), and client management tools.
  • Track and monitor new employee progress to ensure successful role adaptation.


Requirements


  • Proven experience in HR, talent acquisition, or recruitment, preferably in healthcare or mental health industries.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, therapist credentialing, and HR compliance.
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruiting and high-volume therapist hiring.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with HRIS software, ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), and onboarding platforms.
  • Ability to develop engagement strategies, conflict resolution plans, and retention programs.
