We are building up our Technical teams in new regions and looking for a Backend Manager with strong leadership skills and the ability to build up and handle Backend Game Development Department.
JOB OVERVIEW
Backend Managers will lead all the technical activities. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven success in managing multiple developing departments. This person will be highly skilled in IT management, and be able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the development team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and manage the technical team.
- Work with other departments (art, tester, designer,...) to deliver as requested.
- Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures to enhance dev teams' capacity.
- Work with the board of directors to determine the mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.
MUST-HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience leading/ building a team of 20+ developers.
- 5+ years of experience working with either Java, NodeJS.
- Experience in the online slot game industry.
- Good communication skills in English (written and oral).
- Proficiency in Git and Code Review support tools.
- Having knowledge and in-depth experience to support members in solving technical issues directly.
- Experience working with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and NATS messaging systems.
- At least 3 years of experience working in Microservices systems.
- Knowledge of DDD and design patterns used in Microservices.
- Ability to write technical design for services as team responsibilities.
- Understand and have experience working with Protobuf and gRPC
- Has deep knowledge of security for large web systems.
- Be able to work under high pressure and tight deadlines.
- Have a good product mindset
- Organizational and leadership skills.
- A willingness to learn and travel if required.
PREFER TO HAVE
- Experience in building tech teams from the very start.
- Experience with client/server security methodologies.
