We are hiring a senior-level Laravel developer to join our remote team. This is a full-time, long-term position to work on the development of a complete system for an online writing school, including a Progressive Web App (PWA) with gamification, backend tools, Learning Management System (LMS) features, and AI integrations.
This is not just a PWA role—we’re looking for someone capable of handling the entire platform with professionalism, clean architecture, and long-term stability.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Laravel development.
- Ability to work independently and deliver stable, error-free code.
- A portfolio or verifiable completed projects is required. All submitted work will be reviewed and tested.
- Proven experience building and maintaining complex web applications with scalable architecture.
Job Details
- Contract Duration: Minimum 1 year.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8 hours/day. Usual start time between 9 – 10 AM.
- Location: 100% Remote.
- Salary: 360 USD/month.
- First salary raise after 6 months, based on performance.
Important: We do not accept part-time developers for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-stack development and maintenance of a Laravel-based educational platform.
- Build and manage a Progressive Web App (PWA) using Laravel Livewire.
- Customize the Learning Management System (LMS) and develop new features.
- Ensure consistent performance, security, and optimization of the platform.
- Integrate services such as Amazon SES, OpenAI API, and tools like WindSurf.
- Identify and resolve bugs promptly and maintain long-term code stability.
- Collaborate with the internal team in a goal-oriented remote environment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Laravel, Livewire, PHP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and JQuery.
- Experience with full-stack development.
- Solid knowledge of PWA structure, service workers, and offline capabilities.
- Experience in integrating APIs and cloud-based services.
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and modern best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with e-learning or gamified platforms.
- Knowledge of Laravel Sanctum, Inertia.js, or similar technologies.
- Strong focus on clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
Education Requirement
An original degree (Matric, FSC, or Bachelor's) must be submitted at the beginning of the contract.
