Junior System Engineer Linux Storage (f/m/d) - onsite or remote / home office in GERMANY

Your tasks:

Are you motivated to support us as a "Junior System Engineer (f/m/d)" for our mail storage team? Are you passionate about helping to shape the storage backend of Europe's largest email provider? • You will work closely with the teams in our internal development and product management department.
• You support the resolution of incidents and help us to solve the causes of outages and problems in a sustainable manner.
• You help to scale our services in a timely manner regardless of whether they run on hardware, VMs or in Kubernetes pods.
• You know that monitoring and instrumentation form the basis for detecting problems at an early stage. You help us to know that our services are doing well at all times.

We appreciate:

Have you already gained initial experience as a "System Engineer (f/m/d)" in high-availability Linux environments? Do you love automation and are you fascinated by large storage systems with rotating metal and SSDs? Then we look forward to receiving your application!

• You are comfortable with bare-metal hardware as well as running applications in containers.
• You are familiar with protocols other than HTTP and know what a RAID is.
• You have already gained some experience with automation and configuration management, know tools such as Puppet or Ansible and manage your scripts (Bash, Python...) with GIT.
• You are interested in OpenMetrics-based monitoring (Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana).
