Network Solution Engineer (m/f/x)

Your mission

As the "network glue," you play a important role in the smooth operation of our complex and automated cloud infrastructure, distributed across five data centers nationwide. You orchestrate our network components to ensure a robust and high-performance infrastructure at all times.

Your responsibilities:

• Planning, building, and continuously improving the network infrastructure, including evaluating new technologies and implementing network solutions
• Supporting the consolidation of the cloud and network stacks through architecture and design work, as well as selecting and implementing suitable hardware and software components
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for the network infrastructure, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and operational policies
• Administration and troubleshooting of network resources, including configuring and monitoring switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers, as well as resolving network issues and outages
• Participating as a point of contact for network issues in the on-call rotation after the probationary period, exclusively for the networking area (extra compensation)

What you have to bring on board:

• Extensive experience with dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS & BGP)
• Experience in operational use of common network products and their configuration, such as Juniper, Arista, and/or Nokia
• Knowledge of network topologies, cloud network architectures such as MPLS/VPLS, VXLAN, and IPv6 technologies
• Familiarity with firewall and load balancer providers, as well as their implementation and management.
• Ideally, experience with the use of CD/CI pipelines and implementation of GitOps approaches in the networking context
