Our client, the EU Agency eu-LISA, is currently recruiting for a full-time Platform Engineer in Strasbourg, France, working onsite.

About the Job
The Smart Hosting Platforms Sector (SHPS) manages the design, operation, and maintenance of the hosting platforms that run eu-LISA’s justice and home affairs IT systems. As a Platform Engineer, you will contribute to the engineering, operation, and maintenance of IT platform services that ensure high availability, security, and scalability.
The technical stack includes OpenShift, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, AWS and Azure (IaaS/PaaS), along with GitHub, GitOps, Terraform, and Tufin for automation and orchestration.
What are Your tasks:
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain platform solutions, including virtualization, private cloud environments, and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) components.
- Ensure high availability and performance of platform services through proactive maintenance, capacity planning, and lifecycle management (upgrades, replacements).
- Use automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, GitOps, Terraform) to streamline platform operations and ensure consistency.
- Monitor and secure platform environments, ensuring protection against security threats, secure communication, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align platform capabilities with business and system requirements.
- Document platform architecture, procedures, and security measures, ensuring knowledge is captured and shared.
- Drive platform innovation and continuous improvement, contributing technical expertise and supporting knowledge-sharing across teams.
What is required of your profile:
- At least 3 years of professional experience to perform the duties in the areas described under “Your tasks”.
- University degree of at least three years.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (at least C1 level).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Effective planning and organisation in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while ensuring service quality.
- Excellent collaboration skills, working well in cross-functional teams and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, adopting best practices to enhance efficiency, security, and reliability.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring compliance with security policies and ICT best practices.
- Client-focused mindset, anticipating needs and delivering timely, high-quality services.
- Experience with automation and cloud-native tools (e.g., GitOps, Terraform, Kubernetes), and familiarity with Agile practices are advantages.

- basic salary, including a 14% cost-of-living adjustment for France and a 16% expatriate allowance for non-French nationals living outside of France:
- €5551 (up to 5 years of experience)
